US Youth Talk About Mental Health and Life
Time Magazine cover story and short film: Youth Empowerment Group (YEG) is very proud of the 48 courageous youth interviewed for our national film project! A short film excerpt was published in October 2023 by Time Magazine online and in a cover story, “Growing Up is Harder than Ever.” The film project interviewed tween and teen youth around the nation about mental health and life and was co-produced by YEG and award-winning cinematographer and photographer Robin Hammond and his nonprofit, Witness Change. Clips from hours of interviews are currently being incorporated into our video curriculums.
These young people’s validation of shared experiences, support, and advice boosts the positive impact of our curricula and could save lives!
