PowerUp Co-Ed and PowerUp Girls for Life mental and social health life skill curriculums are free when serving youth in Weld County!

Group of five diverse children sitting on outdoor steps, talking and smiling at each other, with backpacks.

We equip Weld County youth-serving organizations with free life skill curriculums that boost well-being and success in the youth they serve.

Created by the Colorado nonprofit Youth Empowerment Group (YEG), these curriculums equip schools and youth-serving organizations to teach essential, research-backed life skills that help young people navigate and thrive amid today’s challenges.

Designed for 5th through 12th-graders, twelve curriculum sessions are appropriate for children as young as 9 years old and are taught at Aims Community College’s College for Kids PowerUp program.

PowerUp curriculums are FREE to all Weld County schools and youth-serving organizations including after-school, mentor, family and child advocacy, homeschool, summer camp, and faith-based organizations.

To access free use, please email YEG at laurie@youthempowermentgroup.org‍ ‍and provide your name, phone number, and affiliated youth-serving organization in Weld County. We will provide you with a short virtual training session during which you’ll get online access. These engaging, plug-and-play sessions require minimal preparation and supplies and can help you make lasting, positive impacts on the youth you serve!

PowerUp video-based curriculum sessions with their engaging activities and interactive games can be used with one student to large groups to support:

PowerUp is also designed to make it easier for adults to care for today’s stressed youth

Sessions build positive culture, mutual respect, and open communication between youth and their educators, mental health professionals, youth organization workers, mentors, and parents. Organizations may show videos to parents to aid participation decisions and to open the door to family discussions.
